Treatment for Molluscum Contagiosum (1) (2) Molluscum Contagiosum is a benign, highly contagious viral skin condition that generally affects the skin and sometimes the mucous membranes. It has been steadily increasing over the past 10 years, particularly in children with atopic skin (3). Molutrex is very easy to use: 1 to 2 applications per day until redness appears (usually 2 to 10 days). It does not require rinsing. It can be used on the face and body (excluding the eye area and mucous membranes) in adults and children aged 2 and over.
